Energy Performance Certificates

An EPC lets you know just how energy efficient your property is by collecting various types of data related to the property, such as its structure, insulation methods and construction history. The data required to provide an EPC includes the age of the property, any history of extensions and other construction works, forms of insulation and any relevant fittings.

The EPC is drawn up once all the necessary data has been collected and the energy efficiency of a property is then concluded using a scale system. The EPC scale is from A to G with most efficient of properties included in the A band (similarly to the energy efficiency rating of a fridge). The EPC uses the data collected to provide additional information on improving the energy efficiency of the property, as well as how to save money and help the environment.
